Fumigation of containers, goods
DCB is specialized in protecting goods and storage facilities against pests.
Therefore DCB has created two divisions: PAS and KIS. The PAS division takes
care of the protection of grain, seeds, animal food and all derivates, as well
in warehouses, silo bins, ships, containers, e.g.; as the storage places
themselves (Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Romania, Turkey). Detection on
stored commodities for medium or long times by traps and pheromones. Treatment
of art. It also includes quarantine treatments (wood dunnage, crates, pallets)
for Australia (technology complying with AFFA [AQIS] regulations), Brazil, New
Zealand (MAF), USA, China, etc. (Containers at the ports of Antwerp and
Zeebrugge, Belgium). Extension of this activity to other European countries is
under examination. The KIS activity includes all kinds of denaturations as
dying (colouring for Saudi Arabia), or the use of other products permitting
recognition or marking of goods for any reason. (Belgium, Bulgaria, France,
Germany, The Netherlands, Romania, Turkey, e.g.) DESCLEAN developed several
full and semi automatic units able to perform the denaturation job off shore as
well as inside the ports or customers' premises. (Saudi Arabian denaturation
stopped end 2003).
Special features
ISPM 15 Stamp
At DESCLEAN you can order an official DC-ISPM-STAMP and special ink for your
WPM. The use is determined by contract. The special ink will become fully
visible and dark after fumigation. The ink-mark can be analyzed to confirm its
authenticity.
Consequently, fumigation of a fully loaded container with
pre-stamped WPM is legal with DC-ISPM-INK. A fully loaded container can be
fumigated, like in the past, and shipped without supplementary
certificates. Stamped wood must be stored dry and the stamps should be
applied earliest, 7 days before fumigation.
